Interested in shorter commutes and better air quality? Take this short survey 

Placer County is launching the Mobility and Infill Acceleration Study to better learn how to serve the needs of residents, workers and other commuters - seeking input about travel behavior and preferences within five areas of the county. 

The survey focuses on how people move from place to place – such as driving, biking, walking or using public transit – and what types of amenities could enhance or alter those travel choices. The survey also seeks input about the types of development the community would favor. Results will be used by planners that will consider how the county’s future can encourage shorter trips, improve air quality and promote overall public health.  

“Finding new ways that Placer County residents can more easily walk, bike or use transit to get to work, shop or dine has been a priority for our community development team as we try to help our communities grow responsibly,” senior planner Angel Green said. “This survey is a direct line for those who live and work in these areas to provide crucial feedback to our planners.” 

The five main areas that the Mobility and Infill Acceleration Study will focus on are: 

• North Auburn – Bell Road 
• North Auburn – Luther Road 
• Newcastle 
• Penryn Parkway 
• Granite Bay 

Results will be collected through Feb. 28 and questions about the process can be addressed via email to mias@placer.ca.gov.
