Upcoming community housing forum, Dollar Creek Crossing project

Published December 31, 2019

Continuing to seek community input on local housing in eastern Placer County, the county is hosting a community meeting to discuss the proposed Dollar Creek Crossing project concept in Tahoe City’s Dollar Hill area.

The meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2020, from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. at Fairway Community Center- Lakeview Room, located at 330 Fairway Drive, Tahoe City.

Since the July 29 meeting, the county has been working to revise the site plan based on community feedback and also held an advisory meeting in November to continue collaboration with residents and stakeholders.

The meeting will include an update on where we are in the process, a presentation on new draft site plan scenarios and a public comment/Q&A session. For additional project background information please go to: https://www.placer.ca.gov/5955/Dollar-Creek-Crossing

This project aims to provide new workforce housing close to jobs, transit, trails, recreation and services. A mix of affordable rentals and market-rate achievable housing will be developed to meet a range of income levels.
