ROCKLIN SEXUAL ASSAULT SUSPECT CHARGED
Sexual assault charges were filed today against Brandon Michael Maberry, 36, of Gridley, CA. The charges are in relation to the sexual assault that occurred in a Rocklin neighborhood, in the early morning hours of July 31, 2019.
The complaint charges Maberry with Forcible Rape in violation of Penal Code Section 261(a)(2) and Penetration by a Foreign Object in violation of Penal Code Section 289(a)(1) and Assault with Intent to Commit Rape in violation of Penal Code Section 220. The defendant is also charged with Stalking and multiple counts of First Degree Residential Burglary. If convicted the defendant is facing 25 years to life in state prison.
Maberry is in-custody in Butte County on a violation of probation. Once his violation of probation case is concluded he will be transported to the Placer County Jail. Currently Maberry is being held on a no bail warrant for the Placer County sexual assault charges.
Our office will not have any further comment on the case as the investigation is ongoing.
