- Loomis special municipal election June 18
Last day to register for Loomis special municipal election is June 11
Published on May 23, 2019
Loomis residents have until June 11 to register for the upcoming June 18 special municipal election to decide whether to allow the proposed Village at Loomis development project.
The proposed project would include residential and retail development on 61 acres.
Voters will decide on two-related ordinance measures: Measure C, which would rezone the site for the proposed project, bordered by Interstate 80 and Horseshoe Bar Road; and Measure D, the development agreement for the site. Voting "no" on either measure would be to overturn the ordinances. The measures require a simple majority vote.
In preparation for the June 18 special municipal election, the Placer County Elections Office has distributed voter information guides to registered voters in Loomis.
The voter information guide provides measure information and polling place locations.
Those who are not permanent vote-by-mail voters or do not reside in a mail ballot precinct can use the back cover of the guide to apply for a vote-by-mail ballot or download a request form from the Elections Office website at placerelections.com.
Important dates:
● May 20: Vote-by-mail ballots will be mailed to registered voters
● May 27: Elections Office closed in observance of Memorial Day
● June 11: Last day for the Elections Office to mail a requested vote-by-mail ballot
● June 15: Elections Office open from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. for early voting

Placer County residents who have not received or misplaced their guide can view it on placerelections.com or request a duplicate guide by contacting the Elections Office at 530-886-5650.
Voter registration forms may be picked up at all post offices, libraries and California Department of Motor Vehicles offices in Placer County, or completed online at registertovote.ca.gov.
Registered voters who’ve recently interacted with the DMV are urged to confirm their voter status; political party preference, vote-by-mail status, address and all other pertinent information. Voter status information is available at voterstatus.sos.ca.gov.
