The Clean Air Grant Program provides monetary grants to private companies and public agencies to clean up their heavy-duty engines beyond that required by law or regulation, through repowering, replacing or retrofitting their engines, vehicles or equipment.
To obtain an Authority to Construct or a Permit to Operate from the District for stationary or portable equipment, an application package must be completed and submitted to the District.
The Placer County Air Pollution Control District sponsors a Technology Assessment Program (TAP) to provide financial assistance in the form of grants for the development and evaluation of technologies which have the potential to reduce air pollution in Placer County.
The Program’s focus is to reduce exposure in communities most impacted by air pollution and uses a variety of strategies including community-level monitoring, uniform emission reporting across the State, stronger regulation of pollution sources and incentives for both mobile and stationary sources.
