ROSEVILLE MAN PLEADS GUILTY TO MOLESTING TWO CHILDREN

A 61-year-old Roseville man is facing a state prison sentence of 13 years and four months after pleading guilty to felony charges of molesting two young girls.

Raymond Earl Hyatt entered the plea Wednesday to three counts of child molestation and one count of possession of child pornography.

Placer County Superior Court Judge J. Richard Couzens set Hyatt’s sentencing date for October 7.

Deputy District Attorney Jeff Wood said the molestation of the girls, whose ages are seven and eight, occurred over a one-year period that began in April 2008.

Roseville police investigated the case after the girls’ father became suspicious of possible molestation and contacted the department, Wood said.
