MURDER CHARGES FILED AGAINST ROCKLIN MAN IN SHOOTING DEATH OF FATHER.

The Placer County District Attorney’s Office has filed murder charges against Robert Carlo Yandolino, 25, of Rocklin, relating to the May 14th 2015 shooting death of his father, Carlo Alexander Yandolino, 58, of Newcastle. Yandolino was located and arrested in Rocklin by Detectives from the Placer County Sheriff’s Office with the assistance of the Special Enforcement Teams from Rocklin and Roseville Police Departments.

Yandolino’s charges include one count of premeditated murder including an allegation of the special circumstance of “Lying in Wait.” It is also alleged that he personally used a firearm during the commission of the murder. Attempted murder charges were also filed against the defendant relating to an attack on a second victim who has survived. Based on the special circumstance allegation, Yandolino is eligible for the death penalty. A decision on whether to seek the death penalty will be made at a later date in accordance with the law and the policies of the Placer County District Attorney’s Office.

The Defendant is scheduled to be arraigned today at 1:30 in Department 13 of the Placer County Superior Court.
