  2. Building Services

    The Building Services Division provides and processes building permits, reviews plans, and inspects construction in the unincorporated areas of Placer County to verify that work complies with building codes for safe and habitable structures.

  3. Code Compliance

    Code Compliance Services enforces regulations related to a variety of land use issues and provides assistance to other County departments as needed.

  4. Community Development Online Document Search

    The online electronic document search allows viewing and downloading of Placer County documents for building permits and planning entitlements and permits.

  5. Engineering & Surveying

    The Engineering and Surveying Division (ESD) provides review and oversight for private land development projects within the unincorporated areas of Placer County.

  6. Environmental Coordination Services

    Environmental Coordination Services was established to coordinate the environmental review process in Placer County. This office ensures that projects in environmental review stay on track with time frames established by both the County and State of California.

  8. Geographic Information Systems (GIS)

    Geographic Information Services (GIS) is used to enhance decision making and provide maps and information to the public and a number of County agencies.

  9. Payment Options

    The Community Development Resources Agency, which includes the Divisions of Building, Code Enforcement, Environmental Coordination Services, Planning Services, and Engineering and Surveying, accepts application fees by cash, check, credit card, debit card, or e-check.

  11. Placer County Conservation Program

    The Placer County Conservation Program (PCCP) is a County-proposed solution to coordinate and streamline the permitting process by allowing local entities to issue state and federal permits. The proposed PCCP is a Habitat Conservation Plan (HCP) under the Federal Endangered Species Act and a Natural Community Conservation Plan (NCCP) under the California Natural Community Conservation Planning Act.

  12. Planning Services

    Planning Services provides information on land development and zoning, reviews and makes recommendations on land development applications, assists the Board of Supervisors and Planning Commission in planning for growth, and enforces the Placer County Zoning Ordinance.
