A Good Example of High Performance Building Design

June 01, 2016

The South Placer Adult Correctional Facility (SPACF), in Roseville, California, has just been awarded the U.S. Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Silver Certification for excellence in sustainable building design. This achievement signifies that the SPACF facility is built more sustainably and performs better from a natural resource and building user comfort perspective than comparable buildings in several LEED performance categories.

This is Placer County’s first LEED certified project. The new Animal Services Center facility is required to meet the same LEED Silver certification level.
