Open Bids & RFPs

Placer County uses an on-line, e-procurement platform designed by Bids&Tenders to conduct its competitive bidding opportunities.  It’s easy, and more importantly, it’s FREE to vendors to use.

How does Bids&Tenders work?

Simple! Go to placer.bidsandtenders.net and click on the "Create Account" button. Select commodity codes for goods, services, and construction categories that are relevant to your business and you will automatically receive email notices of opportunities that match your selections. The entire process takes place electronically – from getting the bid documents to submitting your bid response.

You will need to subscribe to the Bids&Tenders platform to receive email notices about specific bids for specific goods or services, and to view any and all solicitations. The placer.bidsandtenders.net site can be accessed at any time, at your own convenience.

Tip:  Be sure to add multiple users to your Bids&Tenders account who will receive notices about our bids.  We don’t want you to miss out on an opportunity due to a vacation or other staff absence.

How are Bid Openings conducted?

Bid openings are also held virtually, on-line (using Microsoft Teams) and may be attended by any bidder or interested party. Details for each bid opening can be found in the Bid Details field for the specific bid. You may use the Microsoft Teams link for video attendance, and a phone number is usually provided for a call-in option as well.

 Please note:  Participation (via video or phone) is limited to "listen only." Participants will not be allowed to speak with staff or make comments during the event. If you have any questions or comments, you may contact Procurement staff separately, after the bid opening. Bid opening broadcasts are not recorded for future listening.
