Placer County is closely monitoring an outbreak of respiratory illness caused by a novel (new) coronavirus. We are actively working with our partners in healthcare, education and beyond to respond.
The county has also declared a local health emergency and proclaimed a local emergency to ensure public health professionals have all necessary tools at their disposal.
