Placer County is one of the fastest growing counties in California. We routinely rank as one of the healthiest, and best county for quality of life. Our variety of places to live, top rate schools, outdoor wonderland, amazing weather, plentiful arts and history, and outstanding offerings for dining, shopping and entertainment, all help to explain our attraction of people and business.

Placer County Employment Profile Reports
The County of Placer is located in the Capital Region of Northern California. It is home to over 390,000 residents and 13,000 businesses. Placer County enlisted Beacon Economics with developing reports to facilitate a more focused dialogue about the economic environment in the County. Beacon Economics provided employment profile reports by way of three diverse regions: South County, the Foothills, and East Placer/Tahoe Region. These reports build from confidential California Employment Development Department data on establishments and employment to establish a baseline of economic activity, and to track overall trends in the economic activity.
